Why am I E-listed I am VERY STRESSED from being confined for long periods of time day after day; and as a result, I’m hurting myself (See details below ). It’s just not humane to keep me here. Who can save my life? I don’t want to die!! I’m a 5-year-old, spayed, blue and white American Pit Bull Terrier Mix (53.8 lbs.) I came in as a stray. The person who found me and brought me in, said I was very friendly with people, loved their children, I know “sit”, “lay” and “stay”. I did get overly excited towards other dogs though. I am a “very happy dog” that is “non-stop wiggle” when out of kennel. I'm playful, love getting pets and belly rubs, take treats gently. I am healthy but being treated for mild nasal discharge with a recheck in 5 days. Sadly, shelter life has gotten to me, and I’m struggling badly. When kenneled, I pant, bark, lick the kennel walls (this is disturbing and sad!!), and attempt to push out. My lip has been swollen and now my muzzle is swollen and red from rubbing against the kennel. I need out of this noisy, chaotic place ASAP before I further injure myself!! I haven’t had a dog-to-dog evaluation, but the shelter is requiring me to be an only dog. It is recommended that my adopter or foster has experience with dogs and that I meet the entire family before going home. I will need time to de-stress (go on walks and have time to unwind). I can't imagine this is how it could end for me…will you save my life? Love, Luna❤
