PLEASE READ CAREFULLY Emergency temporary foster home needed for large dog. I am having surgery in late March and will be unable to physically care for my dog while Im recovering. Foster period will last around 6-8 weeks. Expenses will be covered or provided (crate, food, toys, supplements, emergency vet visits/medications). MUSTS: MUST BE LOCAL. MUST have giant breed experience. Pickles is a 170 lb Mastiff. MUST have no other dogs. Pickles has been fine with other dogs before but he will be anxious in a new environment and I dont want to run the risk of any dogfights. ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN. Pickles has never been around kids and he is way too big. Prefer fenced-in yard. If you do not have a fenced-in yard, you must be open and comfortable to walk him using a prong and/or e-collar. Prefer someone with training experience but not a deal-breaker. However, you must agree to continue specific training requirements (crate overnight, muzzle around strangers, etc) that I will go over with you ahead of time. Prefer female-only home. Foster period begins March 21st and will likely run 6-8 weeks, although possibly shorter if my recovery goes well.
