BEACHWOOD, OH — After weeks of being closed, Beachwood Place will welcome customers back to its stores on Tuesday. The shopping complex will have new health and safety protocols to protect customers from the new coronavirus. Gov. Mike DeWine lifted the state's prohibition on consumer retail shops on Tuesday, clearing the way for malls to reopen. Beachwood Place allowed customers back into their stores at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. "New measures have been implemented to help ensure the health and safety for all who enter the Mall, including hand-sanitizing stations, touch-free interactions, frequent and intense cleanings and social distancing directions. We are working diligently to provide a safe, clean environment where people feel comfortable shopping, dining and enjoying their time," Beachwood Place Mall said on its website. The food court seating area at the mall will remain closed to the public. Food court restaurants will be open for carry-out only. The mall will also not reopen the following services: valet services, play areas, stroller rentals, and mall-operated carousels. The mall's new safety procedures can be found on the Beachwood Place website. A list of open stores at the mall can also be found at the Beachwood Place website.
