You'll notice that the red states are the stupid states. The deeper the red the lower the IQ. That explains why conservatives believe that the North had slaves and the South attacked the North to free them. This type of backwards thinking carries through to today when they say Trump was a great President when all smart people know he was the worst President in US history.
