Job Type: Part-time/Full-time Pay: Starts at $11.00 + tips Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, starting at 8am on most weeks; 9am on Saturday Full Job Description Have you thought about starting a new career where you get to be creative and be around animals all day? This position is perfect for someone with little to no experience with dog grooming who wants to learn the trade. Our groomer has several years of experience grooming dogs and wants teach you the trade. She would like to teach someone how to groom all breeds and hair styles. You will join our awesome team and be able to grow at your own speed. All necessary materials will be provided with no education fee! You will learn a trade and get paid while doing it! You will spend 4-6 months primarily bathing at first while being taught the basics of dog bathing and brushing, working your way up to more advanced skills. You will get performance reviews and have potential for your hourly pay to increase with your new skills and abilities. Job Responsibilities -Bathing -Nail Trimming & Buffing -Ear Cleaning -Brushing, Combing, and De-Matting -Shaving and Scissoring hair -Booking appointments-calling clients to get details for account set up & booking appointment times. -Setting up new client accounts -Checking client accounts for accurate and required information -Learning to use our Point of Sale System to complete payment transactions -Accepting payments from customers -Cleaning/Sanitizing throughout your shift and at the end of each shift Qualifications -Must be punctual and focused on the job -Must be motivated to work at a fast pace -Must be confident to work around all breeds and sizes of dogs -Able to work a full-time position -Able to start at 8am Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday on most weeks; 9am on Saturday -Be able to lift at least 50 pounds -Must be professional in dress and attitude with clients and co-workers You can apply by submitting a letter of interest along with a resume with work experiences and 3 professional references by emailing to this post.
