Maggie is an approximately 22-year-old umbrella cockatoo. She was in her previous home for 21 years and has been with us for about a year. We purchased Maggie from a pet store where she was sold on consignment after her previous owner’s death and about 5 years of neglect during which she started plucking. Her feathers have improved dramatically and plucking has decreased but hasn’t stopped completely. She seems to suffer from separation anxiety and is prone to screaming when her people aren’t in sight or if she’s not the center of her favorite people’s attention. She needs a family who can give her lots of attention and know how to work with her on the screaming. She’s a super sweet, cuddly bird. She’s not a biter and doesn’t appear to have a gender preference for her people. Her rehoming fee of $1500 (which is less than we paid for just her without a cage in April 2021) includes her cage (King’s Cage 406 - 46”x29”) and toys. Pick up only. I will not ship her. I don’t want to trade her for a puppy. No codes.
