Position: General Farm Hand CASH PAY WEEKLY! $10-15/hr depending on experience and work ethic. If this ad is still posted I am still considering applicants. May lead to full time employment depending on work ethic and job performance. Job Description: Morganton Equine Farm is interviewing for farm hand position. In general, the job includes, but is not limited to cleaning out horse stalls, keeping the barns cleaned, feeding, lawn mowing, and other barn related tasks. Job Requirements: Labor Intensive Tasks / This is not a stand around and get PAID JOB • Care of Horses, Donkeys and Chickens (Possible dog and cat care) • Stall cleaning • Feeding and watering horses • Observing horses for signs of injury, illness, or other significant changes and communicating any problems to the barn manager • Maintaining and repairing fences, paddocks, and pastures • Assisting with the repair and maintenance of shelters, barns and water systems • Performing landscaping, pasture management duties, including mowing, pasture and trail clearing. • Make sure barn is clean and organized at all times *Special projects depending on persons capabilities and would be bonus pay opportunity* Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements: • High School diploma or equivalent required • Previous experience with horses (including handling &care) preferred but not required • Reliable Transportation required to be able to get to work. CDL License a plus! but not required • Must be able to show up on time and work as planned. • Must work well with others and enjoy working with people and animals • Must be able to lift 60-80lbs • Tractor Operation Experience a Plus How to Apply: Send Detailed Past Employment/Equine/Veterinary Experience and 3 Professional References (NO Family Members). Working days: DEPENDENT on Weather Permitting and Persons Capabilities • Monday: 9-4pm with 1hr lunch break • Tuesday: 9-4pm with 1hr lunch break • Wednesday: 9-4pm with 1hr lunch break • Thursday: 9-4pm with 1hr lunch break • Friday: Rare but Possible Morning/Evening 1-2hrs • Saturday: Rare but Possible Morning/Evening 1-2hrs • Sunday: Rare but Possible Morning/Evening 1-2hrs Hours per week: • 20-30 Typical start/end time: • 8am-4pm 7hrs • Lunch 1-hour Break Monday-Thursday Pay: Depends on Experience (Cash PAY Weekly) $10-$15/hr If you have transportation issues or have a habit of not showing up (regardless of reason) please do not apply.
