MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL SPRING THRU FALL-HOUSING AND TRAVEL EXPENSES COVERED, PAY DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE. PAINT IS APPLIED TO STEEL SURFACES. TRAVEL IS TO SKI AREAS IN U.S. To apply for the Painter position applicant MUST have proficiency in use of airless paint spray systems including, setting up, troubleshooting, and clean up. The painter sets up equipment, prepares the steel with various tools including high speed grinders with wire wheels, scrappers, grease removers, sanders, primes, bare or prepared steel, and applies a smooth even coat of paint on steel surfaces. The painter understands that we get only one chance to get the paint on correctly, runs sages and holidays must be avoided. The painter climbs towers usually 40’ to 60‘ tall (sometimes up to 300’), hangs or rappels from the towers using static and safety lines, or climbing ropes, and walks the ski lift line to move from tower to tower. The painter understands and follows all safety rules and methods, suggests safer methods of work when appropriate, and is conscious of the safety of other workers or anyone else present on the job site.
