People are reasonably quite upset suddenly finding themselves unable to use their vehicles and needing someone’s help to get them functional and back on the road. A service advisors purpose is to help vehicle owners through the repair process and restore them back to their normal daily life after a crash. Show empathy for their situation, explain the damages, explain repair processes, set a reasonable expectation of what it takes to get their car back to them, and how long it will likely take to do it. UPDATE them regularly throughout the process. Inform them of delays and setbacks. Be honest and be KIND to them. If you are looking for easy this is not for you. Entry level service advisors earn in the $45 - $55k range Base/commission pay plans allow your compensation to be limited only by your ability to increase your sales volume and your customer satisfaction scores. Seasoned service advisors enjoy pay in the $85 - $120k range that they EARN with their acquired skills and their hard work.
