Description
I am looking for vocalists to work with as I train in music production and audio engineering. I want to record your vocals, and then construct everything around that.
Me: A techie/software developer by day with diverse interests in music, whether it's rock, rap, dance, hip-hop, r&b, funk...you name it. Recently, I was a DJ in LGBTQ and EDM clubs in the Midwest, and am now pursuing production. I'm solid, stable, 45, male, and not nuts.
You: Surprise me.
We can record your vocals covering something from the past, or work on an original idea you have. I'm very open minded!
What you get out of it: a fun session of recording vocals, and maybe a semi/pro production eventually. :)
What I get out of it: practice recording someone else's vocals, and vocal material to work with.
I live in Fairfield and am mobile.
No $$$ involved. It's all for fun right now.
Some vocal + production ideas:
Dance remakes of 80's hits (in the style of a Thunderpuss, Freemasons, or Alok production)
Various remakes of hits from any era
Gender and genre bending remakes: Oasis' "Wonderwall" as a retrowave/synthwave track? A remake of Janet Jackson's "If" with male vocals?
