This conference will provide the opportunity to support addiction and substance use disorder treatment in Cuyahoga County through education. Location: In-person at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Westlake (1100 Crocker Road, Westlake, Ohio 44145) Date/Time: April 28-29, 2022. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. Program runs 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. About the Conference: This conference will bring together addiction-focused professionals for education, training, networking, and capacity-building with thought leaders in the addiction profession. Overview of Day 1: Breaking the cycle of addiction starts the conference off and gives hope for the future. Understanding the brain and changing are the offered breakout options. Professionalism is essential, so we address professional identity and ethics. Overview of Day 2: Our profession's future depends on developing the next generation of practitioners, and supervision is an essential part of their development to understand our history and current best practices. Commonly forgotten, alcohol addiction still rages through our community. Also, understanding relapse is essential for long-term recovery. Cost: OAADAC/NAADAC Members: $100 Both days, $50 One-day Non-Members: $130 Both days, $75 One-day *Attendees are responsible for booking hotel stay if needed.
