"The Second Wave: Revolutionary Women of Color" is a day-long history conference on the 1970s sponsored by Texas A&M at The George Hotel.
Historians debate the origins and effects of the Second Wave of Women's Rights in the United States, but what is now indisputable is the important role of women of color in deepening its accomplishments and extending its reach. Registration is free (but highly limited) for this intriguing one day conference, including not only such pioneers as Frances Beal, Martha Cotera, and Yvonne Swan, but also renowned scholars from around the nation.
