Join a Friends of Edgewood docent for a free kid-friendly hike starting at the Education Center. Tickets required for all participants. Join a Friends of Edgewood docent for a free springtime hike at Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve. This hike is geared for families with young children. Kids and grown-ups alike will enjoy discovering some of the many plants and animals that call Edgewood home. We’ll cover about 1.5 miles, at a kid-friendly pace. We will make frequent stops to learn about what we find along the trail at San Mateo County’s only natural preserve. Hikes usually last about an hour. Note that Edgewood’s many narrow trails cannot accommodate strollers. Masks are required for all participants. Please carefully review the Covid-19 event guidelines on the order form. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Consider sunscreen, a hat, and snacks. Restrooms and water are available only at the Education Center or the picnic area near the Sylvan Trailhead. Please plan ahead. All participants, including children, must be registered individually and have approved the Covid-19 policy and liability waiver through Eventbrite. Details on where to meet will be emailed to participants before the event. Group size is very limited. Please cancel your reservation if you are unable to attend so others can have a chance to join us. Drop-ins will not be allowed for this event. Heavy rain cancels this hike.   Friends of Edgewood is an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to protecting and restoring the natural resources of Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve in Redwood City, California.
