We currently have opportunity for a full time street sweeper to work in the north Bay Area. Starting pay will be $18.00-$21.00 per hour, dependent on verifiable experience. Full time positions are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, sick leave, vacation and 401(k). Qualifications and Requirements: • Responsible for safe and efficient operation of the street sweeper and assigned tools/equipment. • Responsible for cleanliness, appearance, and daily maintenance of assigned equipment. • Responsible for pre and post trip inspections according to company guidelines and DOT requirements and law. • Maintains and turns in monthly DOT logs. Maintains and turns in daily reports as required for completion of a route and service day. Uses electronic check in/out systems when required. • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned jobsites which may require a combination of backpack blowing and truck sweeping. • Responsible for maintaining personal appearance according to company guidelines. • Communicates with supervisor and clients to determine their sweeping requirements. • Assists in planning sweeping routes to ensure efficient and effective sweeping • Recognizes machine wear and changes brooms and brushes as needed to perform sweeping services. Makes routine on site repairs to equipment as necessary. • Abides by all traffic safety laws and speed limits. • Performs other duties as needed. • Must also be able to communicate via cell phone and operate a cell phone in order to send photos and text messages to supervisor. • Will be required to work varying shifts (days and hours). • A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
