CCWD is seeking a skilled, motivated, and team oriented Senior Equipment Operator for our Operations and Maintenance Department. This position will be located at our Oakley, CA office. We are looking for someone who is: Committed to continuous improvement A problem solver Adaptable Committed to public service What you will typically be responsible for: Operating light, medium, and heavy pieces of equipment including boom lattice trucks, tractors, dozers, etc. Performing preventative and basic maintenance on equipment, tools, and vehicles Working as a Utility Worker when not operating equipment Fabricating and installing small canal structures Installing, constructing, repairing, and maintaining water distribution and storage system facilities along with the Contra Costa Canal Transporting heavy equipment, material, and supplies Using computerized maintenance management system to receive work orders, maintain accurate logs, reports, etc. A few reasons you might enjoy this job: You will have the ability to serve your community through public service You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment A few challenges you might face in this job: Work in all types of weather Teamwork expectations require supporting the work of others EXAMPLES OF DUTIES For a full description of examples of duties, please reference to the job description by visiting the following link: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS For a full description of required knowledge, skills, and abilities, please reference to the job description by visiting the following link: NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must possess valid: California Class A Driver License and National Commission for Certification of Crane Operator (NCCCO) certifications: Boom Truck Operator (BTF), Mobile Crane Operator (TSS), and Service Truck Crane Operator (STC). In addition, you must obtain the NCCCO Lattice Boom Truck Operator certification within six months of employment. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Possession of the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an invitation to the next step in the selection process.
