CONCORD, CA — A new coronavirus death was reported Thursday in Concord, bringing the city's total to 38 since the start of the pandemic.
Contra Costa County received a one-day reprieve Wednesday from coronavirus deaths, but Thursday brought word of three new deaths — one each in Concord, Danville, and Richmond. All of the deaths came outside of long-term care facilities.
Previously, the county had reported new deaths every day for eight straight days.
There are multiple places to get a coronavirus test, including from your doctor or a participating CVS pharmacy. In addition, the county operates the following testing sites:

Health officials report that a state glitch involving the counting of coronavirus cases continues, meaning that CoCo is still stuck on the state "Watch List."
The following disclaimer remains on the county coronavirus page: "The State electronic system is experiencing delays in processing test results. Consequently, case, testing and positivity rate data is temporarily incomplete. As a result, the State has postponed any movement of counties "on" or "off" the watch list until this is resolved."
