Press release from the Village of Port Chester: February 17, 2022 - 4:53pm Dear Residents,   The Village of Port Chester is tracking a strong wind and rain event that is in the forecast for our area starting this evening and continuing through Friday Morning. According to the National Weather Service, we can expect damaging winds between 30 to 40 miles per hour and a high wind warning has already been declared for our area.   The weather forecast is predicting that these winds will be strong enough to break tree limbs, damage powerlines, and blow unsecured items around properties. Please use best efforts to secure and tie down furniture and items on your property to prevent them from blowing into the street or into other peoples' property.   If you have an emergency, or see a downed powerline, please call the Port Chester Police Department for assistance by dialing 911.
