The Bocce with the Brothers fundraiser is celebrating with a night of good food, music, live/silent auction plus bocce with the brothers. Shelving Inc., a second-generation family-owned provider of corporate and consumer shelving and storage solutions, will sponsor the 10th annual Bocce with the Brothers fundraiser on Friday, March 25 at Villa Penna in Sterling Heights from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Doors and bocce courts open at 5:30 p.m. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will go directly towards supporting the Capuchin Ministries. Shelving Inc. President Mike Schodowski made the announcement. The Bocce with the Brothers fundraiser is celebrating its 10th year with a night of fan favorite activities for guests to enjoy, including musical performances, delectable cuisine – including meat and meatless options for Lent – and a live and silent auction. Brothers of the Capuchin Ministries will be in attendance to mingle with guests and play unlimited bocce ball. Late-night guests can also enjoy an afterglow party, featuring a live band performance and appetizers. Making a tasty return to this year’s festivities is a delicious dessert assortment provided by On the Rise Bakery Café, one of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen’s valuable programs. Live music will be performed by the Capuchin Soup Kitchen Choir, Noelle Borgia from Piano by Noelle, Accordionist Joe Recchia and a trio of local youth talent. DJ Frank Krause from Uptown Sound will also provide music during the event, and speed painter Dave Santia will create several works of original art to be sold to the highest bidder during a live auction. http://www.theCapuchins.org - Inspired by the gospel of Jesus and the example of Francis of Assisi, the Capuchin friars of the Province of St. Joseph together with our partners in ministry, prayerfully build sister-brotherhood in the world. We attend simply and directly to the spiritual and other basic needs, especially those of the poor and disenfranchised, promoting justice for all.
