An unforgettable Shell Key Paddle Adventure exploring the largest, undeveloped waterways in Florida while searching for rare marine sealife! Join us for a unique Paddle Adventure Tour around the scenic Shell Key Preserve, a protected inland waterway with mangrove wetlands tunnels. This remote Shell Key Island can only be reached by boat or vessel. MUST PRE-PAY IN ADVANCE. ONLY $60 per person. LIMITED AVAILABILITY - Please specify Kayak or SUP when booking reservation. *Paddle tour price includes souvenir photos on the water, instruction, and all the paddle equipment needed* ALL PADDLE & FITNESS LEVELS WELCOME!* Previous kayaking or paddleboarding experience preferred and must know how to swim (or life vest must be worn). *This could potentially be an intermediate/ difficult paddle depending on the wind and tides. Launch time may change slightly. Please check in the day before if you are an inexperienced paddler. __________________________ Shell Key is a 1,800-acre preserve located in Tierra Verde, Florida that protects sensitive marine habitats and includes one of the county's largest undeveloped barrier islands as well as numerous mangrove islands and expansive sea grass beds. Our 2-1/2 Hour Paddle & Exploration Adventure will begin with a quick kayak or SUP lesson focusing on your. We will launch in shallow, calm water and begin to explore this hidden gem. Next, we will paddle through the covered mangrove tunnel (weather and tide permitting) searching for rare birds, fish, and any other marine life that is protected on this untouched island that can only be reached by boat or vessel. Previous sightings include dolphins, manatees, rays, cormorants, herons, mangrove crabs, and a diverse variety of birds & fish. And the final portion of this tour allows us to take a short break on a private beach/ sandbar on the island with white sugar sand and shallow crystal clear Gulf water. This will give you a chance to snorkel, swim, collect shells, explore the land, or just take a rest while enjoying a snack before our final paddle back to our launching spot.
