HARLEM, NY — A person was struck and killed by a train at a Harlem subway station Thursday afternoon, police said. It happened around 12:40 p.m. at the 125th Street-Lenox Avenue station on the 2-3 line. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police had few immediate details, but said the person may have jumped in front of the subway. It came about a month after a man was hit by a train at the same station, while another man was fatally struck there in August. Uptown 2 and 3 trains were terminating at 96th Street after the accident, the MTA said at 1 p.m., adding that commuters could take the B, C, or M7 and M02 buses instead. If you or someone you know is considering suicide, there are resources to help. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24 hours a day at 1-800-273-8255. Its website offers services including a live chat.
