MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead and Swampscott residents will have another opportunity to have hazardous household waste materials picked up at their homes. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the towns have joined with ACV Enviro to provide pickup services for hazardous household waste instead of a traditional dropoff day. Residents can register here and then place their items curbside to be picked up between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on March 9. Items eligible for pickup include oil-based paints, latex paints, oils, lighter fluid, gasoline, kerosene, car batteries, antifreeze, pool chemicals and cleaning products. Items not eligible for pickup include syringes, ammunition, explosives, insulation and lightbulbs. Those with questions can email [email protected].
