Mobile Hair / Makeup Artist Needed

Events

Monterey CA

Description

Well established elopement wedding business seeks to add another mobile MUAH artist to our Monterey lineup. Please see www.blueskyelopements.com for more information about us. You must be able to do both hair and makeup in one session lasting no more than two hours. Your service area would be Seaside to Big Sur. Typically this is a once or twice per month gig but there is no guaranteed event volume, it could be higher or lower depending on season, etc. Your availability for an event is determined by text, you can accept or decline any job. Every bride submits a complete profile of what they want with pictures of themselves and sample photos of similar work and written comments. The bride submitted profile is your work order which we will send to you no later than 30-days prior to the event. Your scope of work includes an initial and final pre-event check in call with the couple (about five minutes per call) and delivery of hair and makeup services at the client’s lodging on the day of the event. If a trial has been scheduled the presumption is that the client will come to your location prior to ceremony day. Comp. is a minimum of $300 for one bride or $550 for two brides (same sex wedding) and varies by location. If more than two brides are booked then you would be responsible to bring a backup stylist to handle the overflow. All monies are paid directly to you and you would then be responsible for paying the other stylist. Extras include client supplied hair extensions $40, early start time and similar. You don't need to invoice us. You are paid in full two weeks prior to the event via direct deposit ONLY to your bank. We do all the selling, client consulting, money and contracts, event coordination, etc. You absolutely must be punctual, good with clients, have reliable transportation, a computer with solid internet service and basic computer skills and have respect for the job. Our photographers are not allowed to share images with any other vendors but you are free to take your own photos with permission of the client.
