RSI Bank Will Fund Programs for Entrepreneurs & Small Business

A donation from RSI Bank will support fresh meet ups and programs for small businesses that will enhance a library collaboration with community partner and Alignable Ambassador, Shoumo Ganguly of Obligent Consulting, to engage speakers for meet ups of a newly formed Alignable Business Alliance of Middlesex County. Meet ups at the library will begin with Alignable as a business social media tool, and will feature regular demonstrations of library services including WPL's Grow with Google designation, Google My Business, Google Analytics, Google Market Finder, events planned with the Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce and library resource demonstrations of LinkedIn, QuickBooks, Corfacts Online, Gale Business Plan Builder, Small Business Reference Center, A-Z World Business and legal resources for small businesses. The first WPL Alignable Meetup will be held at the Main Library in the Periodicals Room on Tuesday, February 22, at 7 pm. New meet up programs were formerly known as BizTuesdays, and will take on some new, in-person show-and-tell business tools and in addition to the meeting topic, the library will also invite each attendee to select a book from the carefully curated Friends Book Sale display at the Main Library with support from RSI Bank. The WPL and Alignable Business Alliance of Middlesex County partnership is the newest in a series of programs that are in place to connect local business owners and entrepreneurs. In addition to a monthly series of introductory computer classes and multilevel courses for Microsoft Office softwares, Township Librarian Alex Gabler offers a demonstration of Data Axle, the New Jersey State Library sponsored, online white and yellow pages and business information database.
