MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Intercept Pharmaceuticals will move its global headquarters from Manhattan to Greater Morristown. The firm, which develops drugs to treat chronic liver diseases, inked a lease at 305 Madison Ave., near Convent Station. The biopharmaceutical company will occupy 26,174 square feet of office space in the three-story, 213,857-square-foot building, according to CBRE, a commercial real estate firm that arranged the lease. Crum & Forster, a national property casualty insurance group, owns the office building. "Intercept Pharmaceuticals' relocation from New York City to Crum & Forster's world-class headquarters in Morristown demonstrates the allure of premier office space and competitive rents that New Jersey has to offer," said CBRE's Conor Dolan, who spearheaded the leasing campaign. "We are pleased to welcome Intercept Pharmaceuticals into the Crum & Forster building and look forward to welcoming other high-quality tenants as well." 305 Madison Ave. — a 16.2-acre property — was completely renovated in 2018, according to CBRE. The office building includes amenities such as a fitness center, coffee/smoothie bar, auditorium and conference center, outdoor patio and rooftop space, covered parking and security. Intercept Pharmaceuticals has nearly 500 employees, according to its website. Thanks for reading. Have a news tip? Email [email protected].
