Press release from the Howard County Government: 02/17/2022 Priyant Sundas, 30, of Grosvenor Place, is facing charges of sex abuse of a minor. Howard County police have charged a Rockville man with sexually assaulting a female student over a two-year period when she was 12 years old. Priyant Sundas, 30, of Grosvenor Place, is facing charges of sex abuse of a minor while providing instruction at the Soundcheck Rock Academy, formerly known as the Columbia Rock School. The school is cooperating fully with the investigation. The victim recently reported to police that the incidents involving Sundas occurred during one-on-one music lessons between 2018 and 2020. After a detailed investigation, Sundas was arrested and is being held on no bond at the Howard County Detention Center. Sundas was employed by the music school until 2020. Investigators believe there may be other victims in this case and are urging anyone with information to contact police at 410-313-STOP or [email protected].
