Hello again, Franklin! Important update: You all, as readers, have made the Franklin Daily so successful that it is my honor to announce the next stage of the newsletter. High: 49 Low: 22. Here are the top three stories in Franklin today: Ghost tours aren't just limited to Halloween here in Franklin! The Lotz House is offering guided evening ghost tours on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Visitors can experience the Civil War spirits and other unexplained phenomena said to haunt the historic home. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children; reservations are required. (Williamson Source)After the rollout of new blue and white license plates in Tennessee, the state is facing a problem. Automatic license plate reader systems, adopted by Franklin Police Department and other departments in the Nashville metro, are having trouble reading the new plates. Tennessee Department of Revenue spokesperson Kelly Cortesi reported that the state will evaluate "claims regarding how new plates interact with license plate readers at night," but as of now, production will continue.
