MARIN COUNTY, CA — A popular Greek restaurant is coming to Marin.
San Francisco's Souvia plans to open a new location this summer at Larkspur's Marin Country Mart, SFGate reports.
Souvia currently has four San Francisco locations.
The first Souvla restaurant opened in April, 2014 in Hayes Valley, and it has since added locations in the city's NoPa, Mission and Marina neighborhoods.
"Souvia" means "skewer" in Greek. The company's motto is "Mike it nice and be nice."
"Souvla" was inspired by casual souvlaki joints found in Greece.
"We rotisserie roast naturally-raised meats and wrap them in our warm, fluffy pita bread with seasonal salads and Greek yogurt sauces," the company wrote on its website.
"Our Greek fries have made a whole lot of "best fry" lists, and don't miss out on our frozen Greek yogurt served in our version of the classic 'NY Cup.'"
