DE LUZ, CA — A trailer fire in De Luz could have turned much worse without fast action by Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The blaze was reported at 4:01 p.m. Thursday in the 20000 block of Rio Linda Road.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found a medium-sized trailer "well involved with fire," the agency reported.
Firefighters contained the blaze at 4:49 p.m. and no injuries were reported.
The remote area east of Murrieta and Temecula where the fire broke out is dense with oak and sycamore trees, as well as other native plants. The De Luz community is also known for some steep hillsides.
