1 Dead After West Birmingham Shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL — One person is dead after a shooting in west Birmingham Thursday afternoon. The shooting occurred just before 4 p.m. in the Cooper Green Housing Community. Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said the preliminary investigation suggests that a domestic dispute led to the shooting. The victim, whose name has not been released by authorities, was pronounced dead on the scene. No arrests have been made in the case.
