The Paint Helper is responsible for sandblasting, sanding, and priming heavy equipment and parts. The Paint Helper also supports the paint team with other duties and tasks as assigned.Requirements · Must understand and comply with Company and Department specific safety standards · Must properly use, maintain, and store PPE · Must have excellent vision, depth perception, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and steady hands. · Must have good attendance · Must be able to remain in a standing position for extended periods of time · Must care for, clean, and return company owned tools and equipment after use · Must be able to document work completed · Must keep area clean but not limited to: sweeping debris, collecting and disposing of trash, cleaning up spills, and storing away cords and tools not in use · Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team · Must be able to work safely in a noisy and various (hot/cold/wet/windy) temperatures environment · Must be able to manage time efficiently in order to complete tasks according to production schedule · Must be able to focus on the task at hand and pay attention to details · Must demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide quality products · Must be capable of lifting and holding arms above shoulder level frequently · Must be capable of bending or stooping periodically · Must be capable of manipulating hand and power tools in areas of limited spaces · Must be capable of lifting or moving heavy objects up to fifty pounds frequently · Must be able to operate a forklift or other equipment when lifting objects greater than your personal lifting capacity · Must understand and comply with painting procedures for preparation, interior coatings, exterior coatings, etc. · Must be able to clean surfaces removing grease and wax, old surface coverings and mill scale using approved procedures. · Must be able to read and understand work and sales orders. · Must be able to prepare surfaces applying fillers and resins if necessary, sanding, and contouring surfaces. · Must be able to properly mix and apply primer · Must be able to properly use wet and dry gages to apply the proper amount of primer in a consistent manner · Must be able to wet sand and fix imperfections in painted surfaces · Must be able to touch up paint · Must be able to manage and replace supplies as needed · Must be able to manage the preparation processPI165705346
