Help for a vet?

Hello, I’m posting in behalf of a longtime friend who has come from small town in Alaska, met some not so kind people, made some bad decisions and ended up getting taken advantage of unfortunately came here with his truck and belongings and now has next to - if not - nothing right now. He’s in his early 30s and is a vet - fought over in Iraq for our country, came back and has been suffering from ptsd & depression (most of his squad have taken their lives since returning). Some of you will understand the toll war will take on a soldier. He has income through military but doesn’t have any money at this moment. He's walking the streets of Albany right now and doesn’t really know a soul, cold hungry, thirsty. He’s a decent human, known him about 16 years now and if I was there to help him I would. Unfortunately I’m not and I’m at a loss on how to help. I’m worried about his situation and depression and the winter elements. Is there a kind soul that would be willing and able to help this young vet out? And yes he did fight over in Iraq. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Thank you.
