Sizewise has an immediate need for a Full-time Dispatcher. Base compensation: $22.00 per hour / Schedule: Tues. - Sat. / Shift: 6 AM - 3 PM Specific tasks include: Schedule drivers to pick up and/or deliver loads to customers or vendors. Maintain records, monitor driver daily logs for errors or violations. Operates terminal, mobile and scanner devices and enters data accurately. Monitor both the drivers in relation to their remaining hours of service and equipment as to its availability. Assist in all aspects of product deliveries as needed. Maintain supplies/inventory levels fully stocked, anticipating requirements, placing and expediting orders and verifying receipts and stock items. Requirements: High School Diploma; 3-5 years’ experience as a dispatcher in the trucking industry or other fast-paced industry; Mechanical experience preferred. Comfortable using GPS tracking systems to locate drivers. Experience using text messaging to direct drivers to locations. Ability to respond to calls outside of normal business hours; to work overtime as needed. Must be dependable and able to function independently. Effectively maintains appointment schedules. Speaks clearly and effectively in a variety of settings. Is responsive and empathetic to customer needs. Ability to pass DOT Physical, have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push up to 700 lbs. of medical equipment up ramps/onto trucks daily. Possess a basic mechanical aptitude and the ability of driving at evening hours/night.
