About Us Stairway Pianos is a full-service piano company that serves the DFW area. We offer piano moving and storage solutions as well as piano tuning, piano restoration, player-piano system installations and more. Our company culture is focused on craftsmanship and innovation. We are the only company in Texas that uses the Pianolift, a state-of-the-art machine designed to move pianos. This makes some of the more difficult aspects of piano moving much safer and easier. We are always looking for innovative solutions to make piano moving safer and more enjoyable for our crews. Responsibilities • Move pianos to and from homes and businesses • Setup Grand Pianos after they are moved • Moving may involve manually lifting piano and/or operating mechanical piano lift, with a partner • Some moves may involve stairs (generally we use the pianolift for this). • Drive truck and trailer primarily around DFW area, longer distances on occasion • Interact with customers on job site. Requirements • Fluent English • Driver's license and clean driving record • Punctual and timely • Good attitude and people skills Additional Information Previous moving and/or customer service experience a plus. Trailer driving experience a plus. Musical background, playing piano or interest in pianos a plus. If you've never moved a piano before, we are willing to train the right candidate. If you are interested in the piano business there will be opportunities for you to learn additional skills. We can often use help in the shop on restoration projects. If you have the desire and willingness to learn there is an opportunity to do so.
