Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply.)
Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as necessary
Implement preventative maintenance measures
Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
Handle basic repairs and maintenance
Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary
Repair machines, equipment or structures as necessary
Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
Follow all company rules and policies
Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
Follow all safety rules and quality standards
Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment
Use Proper PPE for preparation of materials
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven maintenance experience
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
Ability to take apart machines, equipment and devices to remove and replace defective parts
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary
Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
Experience in precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
Experience performing routine maintenance
Professional presentation and attitude
Strong attention to detail
Able to work in a fast pace environment
Demonstrate ability to work independently without daily supervision
Strong time management skills
Must have driver's license with a clean driving record
