Position Purpose/Summary This person should take pride and responsibility to provide top quality construction services in both commercial and residential settings. This person should be dependable and work well with teams and crews. Duties & Responsibilities • Smooth out concrete in segments to ensure the concrete poured is level • Fill roadways, driveways, sidewalks and parking lots • Arrange the concrete forms • Spread concrete • Operate any power tool used to compact or smooth concrete • Monitor how the wind, heat or cold may affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process • Mix cement, sand and water to produce concrete, grout or slurry. • Maintain a safe and clean jobsite by handling materials and sorting them properly, pickup up and removing all tools and equipment not used and securing the jobsite on a daily basis • Taking appropriate care of company equipment, tools and material • Ability to work independently and complete daily tasks according to work schedule • Report incidents immediately to management • Follow all safety procedures on the jobsite and report violations immediately to management • Assist job leads and foreman • Perform other related duties as required or assigned Qualifications & Education Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent a plus • Certification or diploma in a skilled trade a plus • Must be at least 18 years of age • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency • Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in concrete construction work • Valid driver’s license or CDL a plus • Clean driving record (if applicable) • Efficient communication skills Additional Requirements • Able to lift 25-30 pounds over head • Good physical condition and stamina • Able to work in a construction environment which can be dirty at times • Ability to problem solve and work through difficult situations with or without help
