Hey Cats! I’m just curious if there’s anybody else out there who enjoys the music of the 50s as much as I do… I’m 54 yrs old, and love all styles of Rock. However, I grew up listening to WCBS FM NYC oldies station that played Dion & the Belmonts, Buddy Holly, The Platters, The Coasters, Chuck Berry, The Shirelles, The Del Vikings, Fats Domino, etc. the list is endless. Anyway, I was thinking this genre/ style is really lost in today’s world. How cool would it be to put together a band, focusing on the slew of hits that started it all. I’m talking a modern day ShaNaNa band… packed with great songs, and having a ton of fun playing them! Also, coming from a business point of view, it would be a win win. Please reach out to me if interested, or if you know anyone that might be. I play guitar, but most likely will stick to keys & backing vocals.
