Full Time Senior Designers will be responsible for Design and release of Mechanical Design (Body/Powertrain/Chassis) components from initial concept through to production release. Candidates for this Senior Designer position should possess knowledge and skills in the commodity and be able to resolve and develop feasible solutions using previous experience. This position also includes the ability to work effectively in a team environment with a proven track record of development of innovative solutions, problem solving, proactive skills. Senior Designers will lead design reviews with various stakeholders to communicate status, issues, and next steps. This full time Senior Designer position offers an AM Day shift and is based out of Livonia, MI. Candidates meeting the requirements for this Senior Designer position below are strongly encouraged to apply. Shift Schedule: • AM Day shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday) Pay: • $22.00 to $38.00/hr. (Depending on experience) Retirees and veterans are welcome Primary Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 5 years' CAD Software: CREO • Minimum 5 years' experience in Component design and packaging • Must be proficient in PLM Systems such as Team Center etc.; Vis Mock-Up; MS Office • Must be a self-starter, motivated and works with minimal guidance Product Design Specific Requirements: • Body Systems - Exterior • Powertrain Subsystems: Engine; Driveline; Transmission/Clutch; Exhaust; Fuel; Climate Control. • Chassis Subsystems: Frame and Mounting; Suspension; Brake; Steering; Vacuum Distribution. • Ability to analyze CAD Models for correct draft and tolling conditions. • Heavy Product Design and Packaging experience. • Ability to maintain and manage high level assemblies.
