We are looking for drivers to transport our High Point Furniture Market clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. Drivers will be operating 40' Trolley Busses provided by The Great Raleigh Trolley. Driver responsibilities include driving the fixed shuttle route during the course of the market, regular cleaning and arranging maintenance services for the vehicle, planning/modifying each route based on road and traffic conditions. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid CDL driver’s license with a Passenger endorsement and a clean driving record. CONTRACT DATES: March 31st - April 6th TIMEFRAME: 6-8 hour shifts available daily between 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM Shifts Available: 6am-1pm/1pm-10pm Responsibilities Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip Pick up & deliver clients between each shuttle stops according to the schedule Assist clients with boarding / unboarding Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed Answer clients’ questions about the area and local places of interest Ensure the trolley seats are clean and comfortable for all riders Constantly maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the trolley Skills Proven experience as a commercial driver A valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement A clean driving record Familiarity with GPS devices A polite and professional disposition Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
