Porter and Maintenance Technician Laurel Real Estate Services, LLC Job Description: · This role encompasses but is not limited to being responsible for maintaining the daily cleanliness and upkeep of common areas for multi-family buildings in the Pittsburgh region. In addition, employee will be responsible for completing cleaning checklists on vacant apartments in Residential Apartment units while assisting with other vacant apartment maintenance preparation. Porter and Maintenance Technician will be responsible for accommodating vacant apartment cleans as needed under Supervision of Director of Maintenance and Maintenance Supervisors. Employee will be responsible for submitting completed checklists for all vacant units to Maintenance Supervisor once completed. Major Duties / Scope of Work: · Ensure all Residents and Clients continue to live and work in a clean and healthy environment by maintaining a consistent daily common area cleaning schedule. · Accepting the appointment of vacant apartment cleanings under the direction and supervision of the Director of Maintenance and Maintenance Supervisor. Employee must be flexible with the scheduling of vacant apartment cleanings, and able to complete when needed. · Removing snow and ice from walkways and parking lots when needed between 9 AM – 5 PM. · Handling light facility repairs and assisting other members of Maintenance Team may be needed from time to time. Main light facility repairs include painting, drain unclogs, basic plumbing repair, etc. · Keeping all cleaning product rooms and closets clean and organized. All required cleaning materials including chemicals, vacuums, and other devices will be provided. · Maintain on-site availability to address needs of Director of Maintenance and the preparation of vacant apartment units totaling no less than forty (40) hours per week. Being placed on-call for maintenance emergencies from time-to-time as needed. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: · Active Driver’s License, dependable vehicle, and travel between sites from time to time are a requirement for this position. Free parking will always be available at each location. A company vehicle may be provided to Employee for this role in the future. · Minimum Qualifications are a High School Diploma or GED. At least three (3) years of Commercial/Residential custodial experience is preferred. · A minimum of three professional references is preferred. · Experience in larger common area cleaning (public areas, or professional/residential buildings) is preferred. Salary & Benefits: · This is a salaried position based on a work week of 40 hours. In the event of an after hours maintenance emergency dispatch, position is eligible for Overtime pay.
