This is a full time position with lots of possibilities to learn. We need a handyman tradesman who can bring mechanical skills to the table. Must have a mechanical aptitude and the ability to problem solve mechanical issues. Duties may include: Assists mechanics in repairing boats, dive gear, compressors, and related equipment. Daily performing of preparatory tasks such as general van and compressor maintenance and under direction cleans boat components, engine parts, and assists in installation of parts in vans and boats etc. Performs routine preventive maintenance of boats and general handyman tasks around the shop. Performing operational checks and maintenance of outdoor equipment, correcting simple malfunctions, and operating assigned vehicles to transport supplies and materials to work sites. Ensures that safety procedures are followed. Must have a drivers license. This is truly a full time handy man position for someone who can hit the ground running and for someone who is skilled in every form of mechanics like vans, outboards, and diesel engines. You will work under the supervision of the owner of the shop who provides direction on overall work to be accomplished, priorities, and guidance on non-routine assignments. We need someone to take on a full time Monday thru Friday role and can offer a competitive negotiable salary as well as commission possibilities, paid training and health insurance.
