Ladies and gentlemen, we'd like to introduce you to Garth!! He's a big guy around 65 pounds, about 4 years old and he has a heart of gold. He knows SIT & has done good with dogs. He enjoys going for walks and playing fetch. Although, he needs work on bringing it back! He's ready for a family to watch movies with, play board games & sleep late on the weekends! Our process: If you are interested in Garth or any of our adorable adoptables, please fill out an adoption application here: https://www.pawsofhertfordcounty.org/forms/. An adoption counselor will be in contact with you following the submission of your application. If approved, they will arrange a meet and greet at one of our monthly trips to Chesapeake or at our shelter. Visits to the shelter are by appointment only, as we are a volunteer-run rescue organization. All PAWS dogs are spayed/neutered, and current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm. All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
