At NYC Doggies we are always looking for people to join our adventures; in this job dogs are your colleagues, the forest is your office, and the trails are your gym. Are you a good fit for the job? Writers, artists, and those working from home find that this job gives them a much-needed opportunity to connect with nature, escape from the city, and earn some supplemental income. Are you qualified? ✓ Most importantly, you must love dogs and ideally have had some experience working with or caring for them. ✓ You must be active - three hours on the trail in any weather on rugged terrain should be your idea of fun. ✓ You will be driving throughout the city, so we will expect a clean driving record and lots of experience behind the wheel. ✓We will also be checking your references - you’ll have furry family members in your care, and you must have prior employers who can attest to your responsibility and trustworthiness. What, exactly, does a dog hiker do? Our hikers earn $170/hike for a 6-7 hour day, from around 8:30 AM until around 2:30 PM. It consists of picking up 4 friendly dogs, driving to a reservation outside of the city, hiking for 3 hours, and then bringing them back home.
