Duties and responsibilities: Perform general and preventative maintenance on all common elements on the St. Andrews Club property. This may include, but is not limited to building exteriors, roofs, downspouts, sidewalks, parking lots, signs, fencing, lighting, plumbing and electrical repairs. Perform repairs and maintenance in individual condominiums as required. Distribute mail and post notices as requested by St. Andrews Management. Carry a two-way radio, as provided, during working hours. Follow established safety policies and procedures. Follow instructions as given by Maintenance Supervisor and/or Property Manager. Report to work on time. Dress in clean uniform daily. Qualifications and requirements: Must have basic knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electric, and carpentry. Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools. Must have valid Florida driver’s license in order to drive utility vehicles or golf carts. Ability to read and speak English fluently. Should follow oral or written instructions. Be able to work without direct supervision. Communicate efficiently and fluently in both written and oral form. Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to climb a ladder a minimum of four (4) stories high. Work is performed in a variety of environmental conditions, with exposure to outdoor temperatures, weather variations, traffic and equipment noise, equipment vibrations, vehicle and/or chemical fumes, chemicals such as cleaning solvents and grease, machinery and their moving parts and dust. Work duties may require the ability to stand or walk on hard surfaces for frequent and prolonged periods of time. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics are normal maintenance conditions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Occasional overtime may be required. Consistent and regular attendance required. Some exposure to dust and noise. Some heavy lifting, standing, climbing.
