Discover how you can connect with children experiencing a difficult time, help them to heal and to become all they were designed to be. Introducing Show Hope’s "Hope for the Journey" Conference (formerly the Empowered to Connect Conference). The aim of this one-day simulcast event will be to shepherd parents and everyday caregivers to a deeper understanding of their children’s needs. The "Hope for the Journey" Conference will share attachment-based knowledge, introduce robust resources and share practical experiences of successes and failures of day-to-day parenting and caregiving in an effort to encourage and better equip you for the journey you're on. Parents, caregivers, ministry leaders, and professionals will have access to these practical tools that help bring hope and healing to children who have experienced early childhood trauma. Conference Details : Time: Doors open at 9:00 AM, simulcast starts at 9:30 AM and ends at 5:00 PM Registration Cost: $15/individual or $25/couple (within same household) Childcare: There will be no childcare provided at this conference. Due to the nature of topics discussed and to provide participants with the opportunity to relax, though we love kids (and we really love kids), this conference is strictly a “Kid Free” event. Meals: Food and Drink options will be provided throughout the day and are covered by your registration costs. We will take short breaks between each session, with a 40 min lunch break halfway through the conference. Continuing Education: Oregon foster parents will receive 6.5 hours of training hours for attending the full day.
