Looking to get into machining? Get started with the basics of cutting tools, the key to shaping and shaving metals into precise shapes! This is a classroom course for the beginner who has had limited exposure to metal working machines, and is a description of the types of basic tools available for both the lathe and vertical mill, and their proper use. Specific skills covered are Feeds & Speeds, correct set up procedures, what tools to use best for a particular application, and tips and suggestions for using special techniques to achieve a desired finished product. Attendees should plan to take notes during this class.
