Description

How to be a successful professional, a good parent and still have time to be an AAF leader. We’re all used to wearing too many hats, but the more hats we wear, the less well we tend to wear each of them. Let’s talk about work/life balance and organizing your day/week/month so you can be the best version of yourself in all of your roles. ABOUT THE SPEAKER Leigh Farrior is a senior creative at Stamp Idea Group in Montgomery, Alabama. She has almost 20 years of experience working and freelancing for different agencies and clients in the southeast, which has earned her several awards, including Best in Show ADDY® Awards and Designer of the Year. She enjoys working “magic” in the design field; combining her left and right brains to develop solutions to meet clients’ needs while maintaining a high design standard. As the Production Director for Stamp, Leigh manages the art department of the agency while tackling art direction for print and interactive. She graduated from Troy University Cum Laude with an Art Program double major in Graphic Design and Painting. In her spare time, Leigh enjoys life with her husband and two daughters, along with sewing, crafting, Troy University football games, and volunteering. Her soft heart for non-profits finds her dedicating a lot of time to the American Advertising Federation and designing pro-bono materials for several local groups. She is currently serving as Secretary/Treasurer for the AAF National Council of Governors, Board Chair for AAF District 7, and Board Advisor for AAF Montgomery. The American Advertising Federation – Amarillo (AAF-Amarillo) is recognized by the city, the District, and the National organization as a professional club dedicated to the following principles: Truthful Advertising — to inform consumers and help them buy more intelligently. Good Advertising — to serve the public interest by creating an awareness of new products and services. Major Goals — to improve our economy by stimulating sales, lower manufacturing and distribution costs, establish scholarships and increase employment. We believe every person engaged in advertising and its allied fields has an obligation to contribute their time and talent to the development of the profession and its goals.
