Join us at the SoCal Audiobooks Workshop for audiobook narrators in Carlsbad, CA. This is a unique opportunity to work with experienced audiobook professionals. This workshop is limited to 12 attendees. It offers an all day, in person interaction with the SoCal Audiobooks Team to enhance your learning experience and provide information that is specifically tailored to where you are in your journey of becoming a full-time professional audiobook narrator. You will meet with top Audiobook professionals including… Professoinal audiobook narratorsExperienced casting directors (20+ years experience)Full-time audiobook directorsAnd audiobook publisher(s)All of this will take place in our working studios that are solely focused on producing audiobooks. Our space has three separate recording studios that are used to professionally record audiobooks. Our studios are a few minute walk from the ocean and a great Italian coffee shop is in the complex. After the workshop, all participants will be invited to a networking dinner at a local restaurant. Developing relationships is an important part of your journey to becoming a professional audiobook narrator! Many narrators work from their home making the work flexible and convenient and allowing for the work to be done as a side hustle while maintaining a regular job!The rates for audiobook narration are very good compared to other careers.Veteran or experienced narrators can expect to earn $168.25 per hour or $1,346 for a finished audio book of eight hours.
