DRIVER/SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Description

We are a portable equipment company servicing the bay area, so most of our equipment is on wheels although there are a few smaller items that are equipped with handles for carrying. Our drivers utilize a 16’ box truck or pick-up truck for all service calls. These vehicles do not require a special license. All of our trucks are equipped with lift-gates for loading and transporting rental equipment. There will be occasional instances where lifting is needed so all of our service representatives are required to lift up to 50 lbs. All of our service staff is trained to install our rental equipment for our clients. There will be occasions where we are only dropping equipment but the majority of our service calls require installation. Our equipment installations generally involve finding an adequate power source for our rental equipment to plug into and finding an appropriate place to vent our ductwork outside of the room. JOB REQUIREMENTS Cellphone with GPS/Google Navigation for mapping routes Clean driving record Text and cellphone communication within the team (reimbursement will be provided) Communication and customer service skills Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (team assistance will be available as well) GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Pull and stage rental equipment for deliveries Load and secure equipment for transportation Perform deliveries and pick-ups in a timely and courteous manner Uniform polo and khaki attire will be provided along with a pair of steel-toe boots to be worn during working hours. Install equipment upon delivery and break-down the equipment upon removal Briefly instruct our clients how to utilize our rental equipment Adhere to all applicable driving and parking laws Clean and test rental inventory/accessories Perform general maintenance on rental equipment Routinely check vehicles for tires/oil needed maintenance Maintain an organized shop and tool area Assist/support in general tasks as needed OVERTIME AVAILABLE Because we are a 24/7 emergency service company we do provide service to our customers nights as well as weekends. Our service representatives operate on a rotating call-schedule where the rep on-call is required to respond after-hours for any emergency call received. Compensation for after-hours calls is $200 per call-out regardless of whether the order is 5 miles away or 80 miles away. OPPORTUNITY FOR FULLTIME w/ BENEFITS
