compensation: $14 per hour Veterinary Hospital in Santa Cruz seeks entry level employee for our Kennel Assistant opening. This position assists with animal care, grooming, and technician support as well as laundry, cleaning, and general janitorial duties. Position is PART TIME. Approximate hours will be afternoons/evenings from 2 pm to between 7 and 8 pm, 3 to 5 days a week plus Saturdays 8am to 3pm. Candidate must be able to lift 35 lbs., restrain animals, work independently, write legibly in medical records. Candidate does not need previous experience in the animal care industry, however a genuine liking and willingness to handle both dogs and cats is required.
