Hi everyone, My name is Pauline Yang and I am a 4th-year at UCSB working on a research project under the mentorship of Dr. Nicole Albada in the Psychology and Brain Sciences Department. The research is about telehealth communication between patients and physicians, and how different types of interactions affect that relationship. We are thus looking for individuals between the ages of 18 and 60 who have a chronic physical illness, meaning that the illness has been affecting someone for at least 3 months. As part of the research study, you will be asked to fill out questionnaires to give us more information about yourself and your physical illness. You will also be asked to interact with a physician in a telehealth-like chat by sharing some information about your illness, and we will assess how that interaction has affected you. All data will remain completely confidential. Those who participate and complete the study will have the chance to win one of five $15 Amazon gift cards.
